238 - Emile SERVAIS (1847 - 1928) (3) [1] [2]
Marie Joseph Emile SERVAIS was the son of Emmanuel SERVAIS, prime minister in Luxembourg from 1867-1874.
Emile SERVAIS was an engineer, director of several foundries and also an engaged politician (first declared "Président de la République de Luxembourg" in 1919).
SERVAIS had filed two patent applications in the years 1876/77 with co-inventor FELTGEN (see No 179 and No 204), but these applications were rejected.
On 16 June 1879 he applied for a patent with the title of:
Nouveau système de chauffage à la houille ou au coke
SERVAIS' patent application was not examined under the 1817 Law and was issued under the 1880 Law on 14 July 1880. [3]
SERVAIS obtained several Luxembourg patents in later years (1880-1896) under the 1880 Patent Law. [4]
