36 - Henri EISENBACH (1803 - 1869) (1) [1]
On 15 May 1849 EISENBACH filed an application at the Luxembourg Etats Généraux which was duly recorded in the Register as a demande de brevet de perfectionnement:
… a déposé entre nos mains le présent paquet qu'il nous dit renfermer les pièces descriptives d'une buanderie économique et portative perfectionnée par lui, pour lequel perfectionnement il sollicite un brevet de cinq années …
On 10 August 1849, the same Henri EISENBACH signed a second filing receipt for the same invention, this time specifying that it related to a demande de brevet d’importation et de perfectionnement:
… a déposé entre nos mains le présent paquet qu'il nous dit renfermer les pièces descriptives d'une buanderie économique et portative importée et perfectionnée par lui, pour lesquels importation et perfectionnement il sollicite un brevet de cinq années …
The administrative file does not provide any explanation as to why the initial application was replaced by a modified second application and as to which “patent was imported”.
In any case, EISENBACH’s application was processed with the file carrying the later filing date (see No 38).
